I puta new thermostat in my truck over the weekeend since its getting cooler around here [went from 160 to 180*] Ever since I put the new one in Im getting really weird readings from my temp gauge. It stays on nothing while its cold, and then as its warming up the temp gauge will shoot to full hot, then come back down to about 1/4 hot, then go back to full and down again. It does this a few times and finally settles just above the 1/4 way mark [where its supposed to be] Is this a bad thermo? Or is it somthing else?
