Guys on here are great.
![]() In 2014 I paid a $400.00 down payment to a member so he could hang onto two OEM stepside fenders for me with the understanding "I'd get those when I had the space." Yesterday I met that member, paid the remaining $100.00, and left with the two fenders. Where else could you find such great people? *Jason, you rock man. ![]() |

Re: Guys on here are great.
THREE YEARS??? I woulda scrapped 'em!
![]() Who cares about the people? There are lots of nice truck pictures here!!! I've always felt and conveyed a community spirit here. As far as buying and selling goes, it's not just a classified listing, it's selling among friends, for the most part. Something Ebay and PayPal could never give you. A snake doesn't last long here.

Re: Guys on here are great.
Chewychevy67,
So that was you? I had forgotten your online name (and your real name too actually). ![]() Our little adventure with those door skins was perhaps my best example of such things.....and a great example of "oh this will take two weeks" and turned into over a month. I'd call or hear from Jason about once a year but there wasn't much else I could do....space is that limited at my house. These fenders will be washed and then piled onto my queen-sized bed (I usually sleep on a couch) at least until I get the garage more cleaned out and those put in there. I realized I could take them about a month ago when the two fenders that had been piled on that bed went onto my truck so I started calling and I left several messages with no reply. I was getting a bit nervous, thinking maybe he and his wife had been in some sort of accident and were hospitalized! ![]() ![]() Jason is also much younger than I expected him to be...he has such a smooth and wise-sounding voice on the phone....turns out he's younger than me. ![]() |

Re: Guys on here are great.
I've got that beat by a year. I bought and paid for a rocker/corner/floor cab cut including shipping. He said it came out too big and didn't want to ship it. I said I would eventually make it up that way and pick it up in the future. That was four years ago! Oh well, it'll work out one of these days.

Re: Guys on here are great.
I have not got to that stage yet. My build has been all small advances for the last year. Hope next year I can get to finish bodywork.

Re: Guys on here are great.
I asked a member local to me about long bed bedsides he might have laying around. I went to his place (2 hour drive) and ended up buying a parts truck too! Member Livrat (Mark) has been a great source of knowledge for me and a few parts to boot. I got to oogle over the 4x4 he ended up selling to another local member, CG.

I have you all beat. I have a pair of ‘58 Chevy front fenders in the barn that I picked up for a member out east. He has tried a couple of times to get out here but it hasn’t worked out for him. I just looked at the last PM I sent him. It was 5/25/2010.... Unless I kick the bucket, they will be there whenever he makes it out here. LockDoc
