Cool!! Not a fan of the 22" wheels, but I love the color and emblems. I'm sure it will not be cheap since it's only offered when you buy the crew cab LTZ Z71...

Re: Chevy Truck 100 Year Anniversary; 100 Day Celebration

Yeah, just what I thought, a $50,000.00 plus pickup that only the elite most folks can afford. 4 wheel drive only, whooppee. Not anywhere close to the thinking of 1918 or 1968, when the common working man was the target market..........

I'll have more funds for re-doing my 68 Golden. 396, TH400, PS, PB, AC

As the church lady would say, "Isn't that special!!!"

Needs to be gold and white IMO. But I wont be too critical, since they actually acknowledged this milestone.

I think you would have to trade in two 50's for a 100.

Gold is the tradish color for 50th anniversary; there is no color designation for 100th.

There's an old thread here, discussing this subject. A poster said that 100th year color is titanium, which would be a shade of silver (?) A 100th anniversary pickup that's painted silver would be confusing, since silver is the 25th anniversary color, that wouldn't do. Buncha folks would be thinking that Chevrolet got an influx of Ford management people if we had 100 year anniversary trucks painted silver. No offense intended here....
1918 Blue makes sense, and awesome color!!!

I just wish the blue anniversary deal could be had in other pickups. The 50th Gold was on many different optioned pickups. I've seen many different engines, body styles. I had no idea there was such a variety of 50th pickups. I knew nothing about mine until I was talking to a guy selling parts at a swap meet, years ago. I kinda wonder if he was telling me the truth.....

Oh well. I can't do a $54,000 pickup, was hoping for maybe a Silverado 4 door, 2WD,with some plainer options.

Keith,Thanks for your post!!! Now we know!!!

Re: Chevy Truck 100 Year Anniversary; 100 Day Celebration

The grill on the Silverado is OK I guess. Not really in to the newer stuff too much.

But that grill on the first pic, the blue truck. Its just stacks and stacks of stuff. Kinda like my grand son building a funny truck out of Leggos or something. Looks like an overdone Transformer. Keep waiting to see the pic of it all transformed in to a one of the good robots, I mean its a Chevy so it would be one of the good guys, right?

My first thought, too. I was going to say I bet the parts departments will be flooded with orders and probably not a whole lot of surplus will be made. Watch Ebay for crazy prices.

I'm not as excited about this as I would have thought. I see it as it took 100 years for a truck to become something made for people other than those who need them. I'm surprised they don't show it with the 50th anniversary model, but I guess they wanted the colors to match. So, they show an LMC laden truck in a non-original color. Diamonds are the symbol for 100th anniversary. I guess they could have clear coated them . Since there is no color for 100th, it would have been cool to redo the 50th paint scheme, just because.

Watch, now a broader base will become aware of the 50th Ann. trucks and we will see those become a highly sought after model as well as bouquo fakes.
