72 GMC 1 ton Longorn - Pa

I had good intentions of keeping this one to make a flatbed dually out of it, but the paint shop called and I owe them the balance on my chevelle (it's finally done). 350, 4 spd. Good title. Bed is sitting up on 4x4's to clear tires. It had a dump bed on it and the guy wanted to keep it. It runs and drives good. Needs windshield (I'll throw in another). Body is ok for a driver. Bed is fair. Power steering, power disc brakes. Doors are pretty decent. I'll throw in another seat too. $900 firm. Otherwise, I'll keep it. Please post here or call me at (814) 333-2704 home or (814)382-8691 x305 work. Thanks. Brian

I've been wondering if a Longhorn bed would fit a C30 Dually. Is the interference with the wheels at the inner fenders? Is it not a C30? Is it just a retrofit rearend?

It is a c-30. I think someone swapped the rear out. I think it has a newer dually rearend. I'm not an expert, but it looks like a 14-bolt. The clearance problem is the inner fenders. I have 2 one ton flatbeds for my shop and the one is slowly dying. I was going to take the bed off of the dying one and fix this up, but I landed a few new jobs and I may just bite the bullet and buy a new one. Plus, it just doesn't seem like I have time for my projects anymore. And, I would like to get my chevelle back from the paint shop. All I know is that it better look sweet after all of the money they charged me!

longhorn

I can take some pics this weekend. I don't get home until 6 and it's dark then. Suprisingly, the floors and the cab aren't that bad. I think the rockers were replaced at one time. I'll have to look at the mounts. The bed is fairly shot. The front section is ok. The driver side bedside has some large dents and the pass side has some rust above the wheel well. The floor is a wood floor. That is why I was so tempted to make it a flat bed. I'll post some more pics when I get some light.

more pics

The cab mounts are a little rusty. They need replaced. The rockers were replaced. It would be ok for a daily driver type, but would need work to make it a show ride. I'd let it go for $800. It starts right up and runs/drives great. It has just been attacked by the cosmetic demons.

Sean, both 4x4's are tentatively sold. If you wanted the 1 ton, I'd let it go to you for $750 since you've bought some other stuff. Any less than that, and I'd probably have to part it out. It does run and drive good. Any time this week. I'll be gone all weekend. I have to go to Rochester to pay for the paint job on my chevelle. It's finally done. Just let me know. You can call me at home 814-333-2704 or 814-382-8691x305. Thanks.
