99 4wd Silverado Suspension Upgrade
What has everyone done to get a smoother ride out of our trucks?
I just replaced the shocks. It still feels like it did with the old wore out shocks. front feels like it doesnt have much give at all. Rear has a little more. But still not smooth. I know Im asking a lot out of these trucks. I just want something a bit smoother. Ive been looking at 4 bar kits for the rear and coil over kits for the front. everything looks pretty simple. Figure get rid of the leafs in the rear. Add the 4 link with coils in the rear. maybe a set of adjustable shocks. Front ill get rid of the torsion bars. Add adjustable coil overs. With having access to a shop i could get it done in a weekend. Whats everyones thoughts on this? Or has anyone done this yet? |

Is it a torsion bar truck? I'm not being a smart alec, but don't over look tired, are they 10ply? Just a thought before you spend a bunch, Lord knows I've done it.

Yea its a torsion bar truck. I dont remember if the tires were 10ply or not. Even before i got my new tires on the truck it rode pretty stiff. The suspension swap has been put on the back burner for now. Have a couple of different issues that need to be fixed.
