1971 GMC 4x4 value question
Looking into this 71 3/4 ton factory 4wd pickup. The guy selling it is the second owner, all original drive train, will run on fresh fuel. Comes with a very nice extra bed. Rusted out in the passenger side rocker, cab supports are rusted and the original bed is toast. Can be bought for 1500, clean title. But is a 3/4 ton worth it at this price? Id get it running and driving again then decide what to do with it after that.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
If the frame is undamaged I’ll hitch up the trailer from CO. , Pay the $1500 asking, $500.00 To you for your troubles, then travel back to Colorado.
Does that answer your question? ![]() Steve weim55 Colorado |

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
Hell yes it’s worth 1500. K20-25 is king of the 67-72 4x4 world in my book. Being a 4 eye makes it that much more appealing to me at that price.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
Being a 3/4t it is worth more than a 1/2t and any 4wd in that condition is well worth $1,500. I'm surprised you had to ask.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
For me, the Cop Spot is the clincher. Yes it's worth $1500.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
Id have picked it up the same day and my first post would have been Check out my new 3/4 ton 4x4 I got for $1500!.
I havent seen a project 4x4 for sale around here in 15 years, much less one for $1500.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
I want that front spare tire mount. Putting that on a truck would really cement my grandpa-ness lol!
I would buy that in a heartbeat if it was here. There are several things I want off of it and I would sell the rest.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
That could be a problem if you got the Spot off another vehicle with a longer shaft. They made many different lengths for cop cars and ambulances over the years. If it's too long they may be able to sell you a shorter shafted rod. Not sur if it's possible to shorten it yourself.
A cop spot designed for the 67-72 GM truck would tuck in, handle up, with clearance around the steering wheel. One from an '80s Econoline van with a really long dash length might not work. It all depends.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
I’m going to look at it some time this week and see what it’s like. Don’t want to overpay for anything if I haven’t seen it in person.

Re: 1971 GMC 4x4 value question
Gotta agree probably worth the 1500 asking price as long as the frame is sound
and not rusted all to ****. Course I am not just a passer by I have a 71 K20 Cheyenne in 511/Ocher sitting in my driveway so defiantly biased. |
