1929 GMC period built hot rod
I started with a 2 ton 1928 or 29 gmc, truck was complete and in good condition for its age. sorry I cant find pictures from the very beginning of the build.
I replaced all of the wood body skeleton with square tube and chopped the top 1 foot! used the factory frame rails, z'ed them 6" upfront and 18" outback. made up my own front suspension based on a transverse leaf setup. then made a 60-72 long arm style suspension with coil springs for the rear.

Re: 1929 GMC period built hot rod
I realize this is an old post but I am building a 27 cab into a similar rat rod. Love what you have done here. If you have additional pictures I would love to see them.
