292 Made in Mexico

Just picked up a 292 made in Mexico. Any thoughts or concerns with these? Maybe a potential project. Thanks in advance

Re: 292 Made in Mexico

There must have been a Brazilian Target Master V-8s made in Mexico, so the 292 should be fine. Maybe brush up on your Portuguese? J/K, does it run OK?

It’s taken apart. Everything looks good. Thought about building it and see what happens. Didn’t know if anyone has any experience with one

Re: 292 Made in Mexico

I bought a wallet in Mex. in 1992 and I just threw it away so I think the engine should be good.

Re: 292 Made in Mexico

If my memory is correct...when they first started making the "Target" engines, in the late 70's. I believe they made several engines, beside the 350. I'm thinking the 292 was one, and the 454, of course. I know they made a 366. The company I worked for bought one for one of our 2 ton trucks...

Re: 292 Made in Mexico

I had a girlfriend that was made in Mexico. I had some trouble with her. Maybe it was just me. Okay...It was me.

It's funny. Even if you get cussed out in a foreign language. You still know you're getting cussed out.

Re: 292 Made in Mexico

I have a couple , the one on the left is " Echo en Mexico " the one on the right is Made in America 1967. If I remember correctly those made in Mexico were from 1980-99 . For tons of info go to inliners.com .
