Engine Mount Transmission brace brackets
Hello gents, Im working on replacing an engine on a 76 K10. the engine mounts both have a bracket that are transmission brace brackets. However there are no brace rods connected to the brackets. (dont know what they are actually called) can i get these somewhere? Is it important to have this set up completed? its a stock th350 trans. Also, If i can find them, where do they mount to on the transmission? Please see attached image (image of brackets found on ebay not my pic but this is the brackets)

Re: Engine Mount Transmission brace brackets
The braces are for 4wd applications. They mount to bosses on a cast torque converter cover, at least on my 700R4, to stiffen the trans to motor connection since the tcase mount is so far rearward. Recommended (GM didn’t put them on for no reason) but if you don’t wheel or use the truck hard I have seen a lot of trucks survive without them.
