Octane Booster question
Hey all, I been gone a while on a 3 week trip to D.C. and New Jersey. So its time to change my oil (it's been 4 months acutally
![]() I bought some Prestone 0 to 60 Octane Booster. It says it increses octane by up to 10 points in regular unleaded gasoline. One bottle treats 16 gallons of gas, so that sounded like me ![]() This stuff any good? Is octane booster good for cleaning things out? If I run Shell V power (its 95 octane i believe) AND the octane booster, will it cause any problems? Should i just run plain 93 octane with the booster? Thanks in advance Cliff ![]()

The reason I wanna run it is to kinda clean it out basically. I know my neighbor talked about buying some 112 racing feul for his truck, but he also has a 350 outta a nova he had rebuilt in his truck... so i don't think that's for me
![]() Should I use the octane booster?

Unless it actually says that is cleans the fuel system then its not gonna do any thing except boost the octane!
To clean your sys. you need to buy a fuel system cleaner additive. |
