So, what would it take? Does everything on the front clip change? Fenders, Hood, Radiator support, what about AC items? I have a 71, but I love the looks of the 67 front end.

I would unbolt entire clip(dont forget to disconnect wires and battery, and id lift off the 72 nose and stick a 67 one on,simple as that.i believe only interchangeable parts are hood hinges, battery tray, and inner fenders.

So the radiator support and all will work? I just need hood, fenders (outer), and grill? That almost sounds too easy.

If you don't already have the tin lined up, you oughta think about a '86 front clip. It'll have the side marker lights that your bed has.

Your right Longhorn mail, the 68 would be best for the side marker lights! I am getting ahead of myself, but am on the look out for a parts truck and may want to pick up a 67 or 68 rather than a 71 or 72 for the parts.
I have a very good radiator support a very good right fender and a louvered hood for a 71. I really hate to give up the hood. So, I am assuming AC radiator and such will bolt right up to the 67/68 clip? Thanks for your help guys. I will do some checking and see what I decide to do. I will let you know on the parts I have available should I choose to do it. ------------------ 2001 GMC 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax, Allison, 4WD, Love it 1971 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 2WD Short/Step Side. a/c amd aradiator are all same 67-72. will bolt on to all supports same way, only tihng differs on the supports is the headlamp bucket welded placement
sounds like you have some 71 sheetmetal to sell or trade off for 68 good luck |
