Post i love my longhorn =)

IM finally moving my stuff from corpus Christi TX to San Antonio (about 2 1/2 hr drive). i smiled most all the way, ol blue is such a pleasure to drive. cant imagine why people are paying $40k for the new trucks. to me there is nothing better than our trucks. not to mention i get several "thumbs up" by people passing me slowly gockin at my longhorn =)

i an suprised all i can get in the bed too.
1 full-size couch. 1 love seat couch. 1 long coffee table. computer desk and chair. all the poles tarps and parts to my 10x20 car port. chipper shredder, lawn mower. several drawers full of stuff. my "bob" punching bag and base (its not small) and some boxes of stuff. and i still had some room on the tail gate! although i did look like Sanford and son..lol

all that weight and all it did was smooth out the ride. couldn't even tell it was all back there. then it was a nice air conditioned smooth drive to San Antonio. =)
i hope i have this truck for ever

I hear ya' Dave. I love my truck, too! You should be able to keep it a long, long time now that you're out of Corpus. The gulf coast eats cars worse than Michigan road salt since it does it 360 degrees for 365 days a year.

I love my Longhorn, too. It doesn't look as good as yours, yet. You do have good taste in wheels. (I'm runnin' the same kind). Need to get A/C working. we hit 100 degrees in Tucson this week.

I love your longhorn too dave!
I love mine...but not as much as I do yours..at least mine has cruise control...my windows will be down in the 90 degree humid heat, but my feet will be on the floor.

Lol, you feel the same way about you longhorn as i feel about my C10. Whenever i am driving it, i am thinking "I love this thing!". It is a real head-turner when i keep it washed and waxed, but if it ain't clean the deep exhaust note always turns a few heads . My truck may not get very good gas mileage, but it is so much cooler then any truck made today!

yea gotta love these trucks.. Today I had to move the bro-in-law from apt to apt and I am sittin at a stop light loaded down about the same as mtdave2 said and a guy pulls up next to me askin whats under the hood, said "stock 350" which is true except the headers, flowmasters and 3" duals don't sound that way. He offered 2k to buy it, (which is good seeing I only paid 1k for it a month ago) but the light turned green and I stomped the gas and walked off from the guy. next light he offers 3k cash! I'm goin damn, sounds good but I kinda gotta keep her, she's a new toy and I ain't tired of her yet. Can't wait until she's finished, or started for that matter. I can't stand to take her apart and not drive her!!

These are the nicest trucks ever made... Why would you want one of those Caddy trucks when you can have a Chevy just as good for $5000.

Ochre/White/Ochre
Runs well... working on body.
Plan to get painted weekend before memorial day weekend.
Planned to be done March 7 when I turned 16. Didn't happen. Chose to do better job and be behind schedule instead of 1/2 doing it and it looking like junk.

67-72 chevy trucks are the best thing since bottled beer!!! I love the things. I turned mine down the first time i had a chance to buy it, because it was a shorty stepside (no room to haul anything). Then I saw it sitting along the road with a for sale sign in the windshield, i couldn't help myself, it came home with me, i wrote the check before I even had a chance to talk to the banker. I turned down a $2500 offer about 2 weeks later from a guy at a gas station.
