Installed AVS Shaved Door Kit
After looking at shaved door kits I went with a 4 channel kit from AVS. I picked it up from ridinglowcustoms.com for $150. Came with dual actuators, wiring harness and key fobs. The photo is of the 8 channel kit but it looks the same. I searched this forum for actuator install photos but didn't see any so I thought to share how I mounted mine.
AVS makes a 4, 8, and 12 channel kit. I only needed it for my doors so 4 channels was 2 too many. Leaves me room for creativity later ![]() Overall the install was quick and simple. I'm definitely happy with it. If you are looking to do the same I hope this posting helps. The bracket on the right is only mounted on the bottom which is why I put two screws. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Installed AVS Shaved Door Kit
Nice job! Did you switch to bearclaw latches as well, or use the origional ones? i have heard you had to switch, so I havent even looked into doing this when I repaint due to the additional cost.

Re: Installed AVS Shaved Door Kit
I Agree nice joband thanks for the information . I am ordering the same kit this week . Glad to know it works well . I have really been worrying about which kit to buy. I was leaning towards this one because of the dual motors.
Thanks Tim |

You have a gorgeous truck, also interested if you used bear claws!

Re: Installed AVS Shaved Door Kit
Nope, didn't use bear claws. The stock latch worked fine. I simply connected the cable where the rod used to be and it opens with no issues.
