Use distilled water. Fill each cell to the bottom of the split ring which is located approx. one inch or so below the battery top. Do not overfill!

If you find yourself adding water frequently, your system may be over-charging.

If you find yourself adding water frequently, you may be in THE DESERT!
distilled is prefered, bottled drinking water is second best, and tap water is better than nothing...but not by too much.

I found out that my 1 wire Alt is over charging. It just started happening, so I don't think it has done to much damage. Now I have to find a 1 wire regualtor here in Phx.

Damn, Gordo hit the nail on the head on that one.
I found that in the hotter climates, it is not uncommon to have to add water to the batterys.

Found the regulator that I needed for $15. It took me 30 minutes to replace. Now everything is charging the way it should. I think I am going to get an extra regualor and keep it in my truck. I don't think I would want to hunt one down in the middle of no where while I am traveling.
