72' C10 Carb Problems
Hey there guys, so I have tried to do as much research that I can, but I can't find the right answer for my problems I'm having with my carb. To give some reference, it's a rebuilt chevy sb 350 motor, and it has an edelbrock carb on it, i think it is the 1403 series, Okay I'll get right into the problems.
If the truck has been sitting more than 24 hours it is extremely hard to start. It takes maybe 5 or 6 clicks of 5 seconds each to finally get it to fire up. and it does have the electric choke When the truck first starts up, until it's to normal operating temperature, if i press on the throttle more than maybe 40%, it loses power and the RPM's go down and it sounds like it's about to stall. and finally when It is at operating temp, if I go full throttle, it seems like it's a wave, it has a second or two of full power, and then a second or two of losing power. I know some of you veterans will be able to diagnose this pretty quickly so I was hoping to come to the right place ![]() |
