WTB- bellhousing or just my sanity...
I've ben through hell and back trying to find a bellhousing. I've bought 2 of them only to find out they were the wrong ones. I've searched for months on end and the only 2 I've found were in the last 2 days and they both slipped though my fingers. Please help me return to the world of the sane!
I am looking to buy a manual tranny bellhousing with the bracket for a slave cylinder on the driver's side. I've been told this was only common to Chevy trucks built between 1985 and 1987 though I don't know for sure. I am trying to build a real oddball project 4x4 but I'm almost at my breaking point over this stupid bellhousing alone. ![]() ![]() ![]() And to think my dad always told me Chevy parts are easer to come by that Ford junk as he finds whatever he needs for his Falcon!!!! ![]() Any help is appreciated! Thanks! |

If you don't come up with a bellhousing, you can always just use a hydraulic throwout bearing. Then you won't need the clutch fork. Moreover, the bellhousing really won't matter if it has the mounting bosses for the hydraulic slave or not.

actually, i think RAM makes a hydraulic throwout bearing for the SM465. however, IIRC it is quite pricy. finding replacement parts would be a whole lot easier down the road if you ran a stock setup, rather than an aftermarket.

Hmmm... Still no luck. Called Stuckman's and they said they didn't have it any more. Thanks for the lead on that one Jeremy.
One of these days I'll find one... |
