i did over a year ago. not sure when Adam (Cochino) did, maybe before i did. no Ryan (Low 84) has his '80. who is gonna be the next to convert?

I don't think it is a "conversion" when they keep their nice 2WD and add a 4WD.

I know who won't be next. It won't be me! I like them, but not as much as dropped 2WD trucks. I just have too many other projects ('37 Chevy Coupe, scooters, motorcycles, etc.).

Wait a minute!! No converting here, I am currently looking for a nice 2wd blazer. That would leave me w/2 2wd's and 2-4wd's ha ha ha

I'm not "converting" but I really would like to find a good deal on either a 73-75 K5 Blazer or a 73-75 K10 Truck.

Depending on how the rehabbing goes on my knee, I'll be gathering up parts needed in the spring. Plan on converting my crew cab to 4wd during this coming summer, along with needed interior and body work.

I went from a 83 GMC 2wd LWB, to a 85 Chevy K10 shortbed, won't ever go back unless I can own both! Kinda wish I had kept my ol GMC, I loved that truck even though it had a crappy 305.

I was about to ask the same thing. Thats a pretty cool deal.

Even though I have owned a 4wd in the past, and I really like the new trend of 20"+ wheels and off road tires, I don't see me making the change. Well at least until my Blazer gets done, which will be........?

Yup, it was a c&c stake truck and I kept the 14 bolt ff in it, when I added the lwb fleetside bed. Probably will keep the duallies on it since I added 2" lift blocks under the rear springs. If I don't pick up a Dana60 for up front, I'll settle for a Dana44. Has a fresh 355 & sm465 in it now and will pickup a divorced np205 tc.

I agree. However, I realized that building a lowered 2wd will force me to make the truck look a lot nicer (and spend a lot more) than if I simply left it high and used it as a truck instead of a show project.

So, I have kind of half-converted...now, if I win the lottery, there will be plenty of 2wd's and 4x4's at my place.
