Check it out!
Engine is in, TPI is on, and everything is wired up in the engine bay, woohoo! If I can find some EFI burb fuel lines, the serp stuff I need and sort out the nightmare on the inside, I may have her running by Sunday Night ![]() Sorry for the crappy pictures, when my digital uses the flash, it takes really gross pictures... I'll push it out and get nice ones sometime this weekend ![]()

Also, since you have it this far apart, why not paint the firewall a semi or flat black to clean things up a little?? ![]()

I still plan to clean up the firewall, thats why I have not been hooking up wiring inside of the cab as I go
![]() ![]() And yeah, I wouldn't mind the block off plate! Thats all that pump is doing. I didn't take it off cause I didn't have anything else to put into it's place, and I was too poor at the time to buy anything, lol

Sweet looking engine setup. Making some good progress. Wow the inside of your truck does look like a wiring nightmare.

EFI into non-efi cars are FUUUUUN... NOT
Good work, I know first hand that those swaps can be a little discouraging at times.

Well, I got most of the interior wiring sorted out now. However, I gotta get her done faster than I was originally expecting -- I blew the 305 in my 89 up tonight. Not a chance she'll ever run again, bent a couple connecting rods, then shot them through the pan after blowing a headgasket tonight

Jeremy, I have not found the wiring to be overly difficult by any means. The truck's factory wiring has been much more of a challenge, lol
Most of the EFI wiring goes straight from the ECM to an actuator, or from a sensor straight to the ECM. That and a couple fused power wires. Pretty simple actually!

Truck with tbi requires a 2 pulse vss....on the other hand a tpi requires a 4 pulse...what are you up to...? And what application ecm are you using where you can use that cruise unit....i'm thinking the old trucks used a DRAC starting in 90-1...but i'm not sure if that carried over into the newer truck body style?

The TPI I am running uses a 2 pulse VSS. From 90 up, they began using the 4 pulse per mile VSS. My truck has a stock VSS behind the speedo, which is the exact same thing the first TPI cars used.
If the cruise does require a 4 pulse signal, then I've got a DRAC I pulled outta a small GM car that converts a 2 pulse signal to a 4 pulse signal, along with some 2 pulse outputs. Should work just perfectly ![]()
