I miss my workshop
Man,
Today I began to remove the front clip from my truck so I could clean up the frame before putting in my new motor, and wouldn't you know it, It started raining. so much for getting things done today

Bummer, hopefully tomorrow you can get on it? OHHH, thank you btw...you reminded me to appreciate my attached garage just a bit cause it's attached to a house thats PINK....

I can feel for you on that. before I finished the shop, I was totally under the mercy of South Mississipi's rainy season (January - December)

My most relaxing times are spent in my shop tinkering around on various stuff.

Well I have a 25x45 shop with a nice wood stove, killer sound system, tons of lights and my projects still out side in the rain while customers projects sit in side. I just need a bigger shop but I sill feel your pain.

that's happened to me, an incredible 1 time. course i was in teh driveway then, now i got the garage to work in. texas is easy truckin weather.

I started out again, after moving to NC, with a slanted gravel and mud drive way. Worked my way up to a rented 40X40 shop with concrete floor, air, lots of lights and 70 foot of covered, roof only, dirt floor storage space.
I feel your pain, I used to work as a mechanic for a towing company 25 years ago........engine, trans, rear ends everything on a gravel lot.........it definity sucks. maybe soon you will be back under cover |

I wish I was at the point of building a shop. It's so bad around here I just miss having a concrete slab to work off of.

I've got a nice big 40x60 shop. It's not set up the way I want, but it's got a roof and last weekend we got the doors closed finally. It has 2-8' rolling steel doors that got hit by a runaway vehicle years ago. They're crooked as he!!, but now the wind and dust are kept at bay. We stuck a wood stove in too, but you can't really heat the whole building, just gives you a place to thaw.
