Medium red paint code
I need some touch up paint for the C/10 and I don't know the code for medium red. I have tried using the search engine but all the links for 72 paint codes I find don't have a medium red listed. Any help would be appreciated guys.

I don't see medium red listed guys. Am I missing something? I have been known to overlook the obvious before. My truck has option 544 next to where it says Medium Red/white. Is there somewhere else on the truck I need to look for a code?

see ten,
I noticed when I looked at the above color samples that the 544 code is the two tone option used with Crimson Red, and White. Maybe Crimson Red and Medium Red are one in the same? Hope this helps......Peter |

My option code for med red/white says #146110. Mine looks more like hugger orange.

Red,Crimson Red,Med Red,that is one sharp truck IMO.
Depending on the age of the paint on the truck,it may have a little fading/oxidizing that is making it look a little different,plus the chips aren't exact most of the time.Best thing to do is find a shop that is willing to mix pint of paint to match your truck exactly if you can't find a ready mixed bottle. Yeah, I figured you probably noticed that 544 code on the sample sheet. Your red definitely looks different from that chip.
I'm currently looking for the correct GM color for my 72 Jimmy. It's code 525 but I've seen it called both Yellow, and Grapefruit yellow. Nice truck by the way! |
