Request: Pictures of Blazer/Jimmy doors for comparison on where to cut

Anyone care to post some close-up pics of Jimmy/Blazer doors so I can see where pickup doors will need to be cut? I would like to see from the window opening up, the whole vent wing, and the rear of the door, and a detail of both areas preferable from the side.

Yup. Order a factory assembly manual and get the dimensions direct from GM.

Re: Request: Pictures of Blazer/Jimmy doors for comparison on where to cut

Here is a picture of the instructions from the Assembly Manual. I could not find anything on the rear cut but it is pretty straight forward. The rear cut is parallel to the door and is cut 1/8" above the door, (probably for saw blade clearance).

I can wait. Just trying to get a door cut down to test the new 67-72 kits in for the "Blazer" kit.

Am I understanding that you are developing a one piece door glass kit for the Blazer? That would be cool if you can get it to work...

That would be correct, I am gathering the info for OPP (company that is selling the 67-72 kit) He thinks it should be availble pending any major issues in March at the earliest.

Since we are asking questions...

Would that be a one piece window kit with no triangle of any kind?

Re: Request: Pictures of Blazer/Jimmy doors for comparison on where to cut

Ok, here is the info. I just talked to him today (thanks to 65-72 chevytoys for the PDF). The Blazer/Jimmy kit will be availible at the initial release at the end of this month. It will be an aditional option on top of the standard kit, should be about $60, stayed tuned for final pricing.

BTW, is the cap piece on top of the door availible? (plastic thing that is always broken?)

Hey Chris,
I just ordered a set of those door caps from Mikes Bump and Grind Garage last weekend so I havent gotten them yet. Definitely the best price on them that I have seen at $35 for the pair.
