In the paint and body section I asked about HOBART welders, didnt get too many responses-but DO appreciated the ones I did get (THANKS GUYS!). Anyhow has anyone here ever used a HOBART BETA MIG 250? My freind has one for sale for 800. Is this a good machine? Thanks

Re: Another MIG Question

Hobart is not a bad welder, I know several folks who use them and love them. Truly have not heard any negative about them. If it is the welder I think that it is, that is a good price if it is in good shape and has all the gas stuff with it.

Re: Another MIG Question

We had 6 hobarts and didn't have any more problems w/them than what we had w/ the blue ones or the red ones.
If it works well and has been taken care of it's well worth it.

you should get a regulator with it but dont expect him to throw in the gas bottle for that price. Even though Hobart is Millers home/hobbiest line they are still good machines.
