2wd conversion question

ive searched the board and cant find a decent answer , so here goes
im converting a 4x4 blazer to 2wd is there a few holes that line up on the front cross member or not ive read both answers yes and no can some one who has done the conversion chime in??? thanks .......tom

I dont know that it would be easier but...you could cut a 2wd truck front section off and take it to be welded in place of the 4x4 front frame.You could then sell the 4x4 front end to someone needing one.Just a thought.It wouldnt cost much to cut the 2wd front end off a truck at the junkyard.I just cut a 71 2wd truck front half off.Its gone already though.A person that can weld could weld the frames together reasonably priced,I would also run some 3/16" thick metal along the inner frame bolted on with grade 8 bolts for some extra strength if you do this.

i thought about that but id have to move around body mounts ii think its easier to put in the cross members and trailing arms . anyone else?

Do not cut your frame I have converted 3 blazers its very easy.
Most people are scared to do it but dont be. If you do it right nobody will ever be able to tell. In my experince the 72 style frame none of the bolts line up even if they did that is not a guarantee its in the right place. If you have any questions just pm me
