That was one long test drive

My family and went from Portland Tn to Temple Tx to pick up a truck this weekend. We left friday at 6:00 pm and got home Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
That is 855 miles one way and on the way back we rented a u-haul trailer and towed our van back.
So the test drive on my new truck was 855 miles and towing 6500 pounds. The only trouble we had was a trucker that was pissed off because we made a wrong turn. After he figured out I was about foot taller and about 75 pounds heavier than him we had no more problem.
So here is a pic of my find. It is a 89 GMC crew cab 4x4 with a 6.2 diesel and a 4 speed. This truck also has tilt, power windows, power locks, cruise, working a/c,and 86k actual miles and i bought it from the second owner.

Sweet truck! Love the color. I like seeing a nice crew cab, since most ended up being work trucks.

Re: That was one long test drive

Thats strange a 4-speed with all those other options. But I guess if it was bought to be a luxury puller than it makes sence.
Wish I could find one of those?

I thought 87 was when they quite making trucks but apparently up to 89 in the #3500s in the 4 door version still were built like the old ones?
Nice clean truck I would leave it the way it is.

Does it have a turbo? Friend of mine has a banks turbo on his 6.2. Pretty much doubled the horsepower. I think it has a cold air kit to but its about the same power as a stock 350. Gets great fuel mileage to.
Sure think your truck is worth it.
