unscrupulous seller on this forum
I hate to say it fellows, but you can't trust every seller on this forum. I recently posted on here for a set of sbc heads--186 or 041 casting numbers. I received a response listing a set of 041 assembled heads with roller rockers, guide plates and pushrods for $550. I made him a counter offer for everything, shipping included. A couple of days later he sent me an e-mail ACCEPTING MY OFFER AS MADE--NO STIPULATIONS. I immediately sent him a cashier's check. When I received the heads--no pushrods!! When I called him on it, this low life had the gall to say that he couldn't let the pushrods go at that price! NO ONE FORCED THIS CREEP TO TAKE MY OFFER! I have read many postings blasting Ebay on here, but I have never been screwed over like this in over 300 Ebay purchases. It really bothers me that someone would pull something like this on a fellow Chevy hobbyist. I guess I was raised in an different era when a man's word meant something. I don't understand how a man?? can look in a mirror in the morning after cheating someone like this----but he's probably too busy sexually molesting his neighbor's sheep. I will not state his name here, but a search would easily turn it up. OK, I've vented and I feel a little better. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Yeah. You and mark25 need to get in touch and settle this like gentlemen. I'm sure you can work it out.

Good thing he didn't decide to withhold the roller rockers! At least pushrods are cheap.

I try to read the parts board every day and did not see anything posted there but perhaps I missed it. I would be very upset. But you should post his name and warn others. I got sc@@##$d by someone on this board and it took almost two months to get my money. Another board member had the same problem so we posted his name to warn others after we PM'd each other to sort out our details. We both even warned him that we would post his name if he did not sort the problems out within a period of time. As unpleasant as it is...you have to post his name to warn others. A few bad apples can ruin this board for all of us. I have since had other great dealings here and always post the names of the members that met my expectations. It is too bad that we can't have ratings like eBay!

Geez....please do this through emails or PM's. Throwing out insults at the guy will not help a thing. It sounds to me like both of you need to chill out, and maybe try to communicate like adults!

I have nothing but good to say about, well, you know who. He was very good on prices, and contacts. Emailed me several times to make sure I was pleased, and follow ups...for the price on the heads, IMHO, you got a good deal considering pushrods are under $40......I hope you both can come to some agreement, via PM's.
Good luck! ![]() |

I agree with Tracy, I don't think either one of you really got screwed. Just offering my opinion now that I have heard both sides, you two still have to work this out between you, and you both should make an attempt to do so. And IMO, airing your problems on this board does neither of you any good, if anything it hurts you both. Talk to each other in an adult, civil, and business-like manner, you both have issues to discuss, and name-calling solves absolutely nothing. Good luck to you both, and I hope you can work this dispute out amicably.

I read what bolth of you had to say and think you guys simply had a comunication problem. It is important when you do buissness through this form of comunication that both partys comunicate clearly. Sounds to me like you got a great set of heads for a fair price and didn't get screwed that bad so go buy the pushrods and call it a day. If you don't like the way he does buisness and he is an unclear about his intentions then don't do buisness with him. There is no reason to publicly ridicule someone over something so trivial like you both have done over this. Save this form of deturment some the real shady sellers and buyers not comunication problems. Handle that stuff by your selfs.
Pete
