Re: 59 elcamino
I'll discuss/debate/consider anything with "CHEVROLET" on it somewhere. We would all like some pictures though. Feel free to tell us your plans for it. Oh yeah, post some pictures. Did I already mention that? P.S. Nice 2nd gen Camaro in your avatar.

![]() Everyone has their own opinion about the debate, is an El Camino a truck or a car. Well in my opinion, for what’s that is worth, I say if it has a bed it's a truck.

Re: 59 elcamino
I say any GM product is cool in my eyes. GMC usually had/have more bells and whistles.

Re: 59 elcamino
Some folks call it a Cruck, if you haven't been to the El Camino site, you may want to check it out.......matter of fact, their weekly featured ride is a 59 or 60 right now.
http://elcaminocentral.com/index.php Would still like to hear your ideas.... Last edited by Caveman49; 08-15-2008 at 06:05 PM. |

Re: 59 elcamino
The '59 El Camino and Bel Air are two of the most stylish vehicles to ever hit the road, IMHO. I hope you're planning a "restification", not a hack or butcher job, those are very few and far between.

Re: 59 elcamino
I had one in 1970 and wouldn't mind having another but really want a 66 to put the 66 396 I have stashed away in.
You have to buy a truck license plate and pay tonnage so it is for sure a truck. |

Re: 59 elcamino
That thing is in good shape for a 59! Looks pretty solid. I've several 4th gen Elkys (73-77), mostly parts cars.
Man, nice 65 Big Al.......nice shop too! |

Re: 59 elcamino
Looking at all the projects on this site really hammers home the advertisement that I see weekly on Spike's Power Block.
"There's nothing like towing a new car home" If you decide to part with that Elky, ping me right away, I've had my eyes open for one for some time, it's one of my all-time favorites. |

Re: 59 elcamino
Do this. This one is photochopped so you wouldn't be copying someone else's ride...I didnt do the chop.
