Motor ID help
I just picked up a 402 from the junkyard the other day. Trying to find out what it is, and what it is out of. I know it's a 402, date on the block is 6 8 72. Heads and intake are within a couple months IIRC. Back of the block says 3999290, up front by the alternator is stamped T0517CTB. Also the manifold has a number of 3964243, but think they are tall deck truck manifolds. This motor was pulled from a dumptruck, or at least from what we can tell, not much left of it. Pretty sure it's not the original motor, talked with a bunch of BBC guys, and is pretty rare to have a regular big block instead of the tall decks.
I also have a 454, was pulled from a truck, but the manifolds look like a car. Didn't get the back numbers, but up front there were 2 sets of numbers. By the alternator is C6F119708, and by the intake/waterpump bypass hose was another set of numbers, T1016TSK. I never saw them there before. I'm trying to figure out what the motors came out of, mostly for the 402, I plan on selling it, might be worth it someone restoring a truck or SS Chevelle and wants a close to numbers matching setup. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
