i have a 1979 GMC 1/2 ton, running 15x10 inch enkies all around. tire rubs a little on fenders, has anyone ever shortened a-arms to cure this problem? or can it be done?

That isn't the solution. You will change the geometry of the suspension doing that. You have too little backspacing for the front. I am guessing 3.5 or 3.75" and with a 10" wheel there is no way to keep it from rubbing.

No, the Drop Shop didn't shorten them, they raised the balljoint up, basically lowering the spring pocket, I did the same thing to mine... In 1988.....
