tubular motor mounts
I have these tubular motor mounts mounted before with some of the polyurathane mounts. The problem that i had before was my headers hit my lower a frame on the driverside. Plus my urathane mounts broke. So i went ahead and bought a set of solid mounts that are about 1/2 taller. Everything seams like they will work, but wondering if it will efect my drivetrain from lining up right. My engine seams to slant a little bit more to the rear. Any advise will be apreciated. here's a few pictures of what i have.

is the trans,driveline, ect hooked up? they shouldnt have let it move but if all that isnt it could have....try to see if everything bolts up fine

everything bolted up fine, i don't have anything tight yet, because im waiting to get some new headers, and i may need to lift engine to slide them in.

what kind of compression do you got? you sprayin at all to get that 11.37?

I run a mix 92 and 110. I have ran straight 92, but i don't get on it, just incase.

im not sure if .030 over always amounts to the cubes added for each engine....depends i guess on the EXACT bore sizing down to super tiny i cant even spell numbers

When I changed over to my brodix 10.600 deck block I had to lower my motor in the frame half an inch . So I just lowered the tranny mount half an inch to keep it at the same angle . Since you cant adjust your pinion angle on a trailing arm you might check the angle with the tranny in both positions and see which one best suits you .

You may have to adjust the exhaust to meet up to the headers flange properly. When installing the motor plate in my truck I went up with it as much as possible with a slight slant to the rear and I need to cut the collector off the exhaust and reweld it since the angle changed slightly.

thats weird, i noticed you didnt have to put washers under your mounts....I Did though? i have a set under the actual mount and under the bolt head like you huh.

I had a friend come over and look at it and he said the same thing about my engine leans back to much. So what i did was ordered new poly mounts from energy suspension which they said will not break!!!!! I also plan running a strap just incase. Plus a solid mount looks like it could eventually break the welds on my tubular mounts. I guess that if my new headers hit my lower a-frame again, i'll have to put some spacers underneath the tubular mounts. To bad they don't make a mount that's inbetween the 2 sizes that they have. I have also figured out that just a few washers can make a big difference!!!!

Run it and see. You will know if somthing is off. I think this is the only way to be sure. You don't want to get too crazy though. Let us know.

the tubular mounts came from performance online. The solid mounts came from moroso. I can't sell the solid mounts, they belong to a friend. He let me try them to see if they would work.
