Question Blazer 4 to 2 wheel drive?

Just ran across an '87 Chevrolet Blazer 4X4, cheep. I have no desire for a 4X4, does anyone know if a two wheel drive front crossmember will directly bolt in as in a '67-'72?

I know you have to add some holes to the frame, but not sure were. Someone will pop in and tell us..

It will work, but will require some drilling. Up until 82 when they made the last 2wd Blazer the holes were there. At some point, maybe 83 they stopped punching the extra set of holes required.

You might have to get some measurements off of a 2wd donor frame to be sure that it lines up.

Re: Blazer 4 to 2 wheel drive?

There is also some good info in my build thread. The link is in my sig.

I havent started the suspension swap though, I only have the 2wd torn down. I hit a brick wall in getting the rivits out of the shackle hangers.....
