I have water spots on my windows too. I buddy of mine told me to scrape them with a razor blade. I'm not too sure about that idea.
Anyone got a good cure for water spots, that is other than throwing dirt on it ![]() ------------------ Scrub 70 GMC 1,000,000 + miles 72 K-20 project, 456 Dana60 front, Corp14 rear w/locker, 265R19.5 tires 20-ply. I used Fast Orange hand cleaner it has a little grit and removed my water spots with a little rubbing, then I used Rain-x to keep the spots off.

The white vinegar works well but if they have been on there for years pour the vinegar on a #0000 steel wool pad. This works great! #0000 will not scratch the glass, it just buffs it and the vinegar helps "cut" the water spots.

If you try all the recommended solutions w/o results (like me) you might want to try what I finally found that worked wonders. The product is sold by auto glass shops. It's called "Auto Glass Water Spot Remover made by OGT Inc. out of Eugene, OR P.O. Box 682 zip 97440 stock # 47605. It also takes off water spots on tile, porcelain and stainless steel. BTW it cost me about $20.00 for 16 oz bottle but you only need to use a very small amount.

If none of the above work, try my solution. Start prying the edge of the windshield with a screw driver and when it snaps and breaks, go get the BFH and smash out the rest of it. Call the new windshield guy, he will come out and install one brand new and it doesn't have any of those pesky water spots. Good luck, Jeff.

Cheyenne10..All the info I have is what I got off the bottle. I'll stop by the glass shop on my way home tonight and see if they can shed more light on their location or perhaps who is the distributor, etc. BTW
I searched for "Auto Glass Water Spot Removers" on the web and came up with a couple of listing that looked like they might work.. ------------------ 72 swb cheyenne super 350/350 69 cst20 BB longhorn
