Finally got the new carb and intake installed, and my LFD '72 gas pedal conversion. Girlfriend got me the valve covers and air cleaner for Christmas. Still tweaking with the Lokar throttle cable, might have to order a new inner cable. Rest of the motor looks like @#$%, but it runs great.

Re: My Motor Got a Christmas Makeover
Found the valve covers on E-bay, some offshore copies. Fit and finish was good though and they came with baffles.

LMAO. Ya, I think it's proof they'll make anything look good. Here's a link to them on E-Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SBC-S...Q5fAccessories

Re: My Motor Got a Christmas Makeover
Sorry no pics, but
here's the thread on the conversion: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=371099 Well worth the money, easy install. I still have to tweak with my throttle cable though. Installed per Lokar's instructions, inner cable came up a hair short. Pedal is slightly off the floor at WOT. The '72 gas pedal has more range then the carb does. Need to install the Lokar cable measured with pedal and carb at WOT.

Re: My Motor Got a Christmas Makeover
You'll want to allow for insulation and carpet thickness when measuring too.
