New dude from the no Coast!
New here from Minnesota!
So I needed another vehicle in the family, so I went on craigslist and typed in $1000 for max amount, looked around and found this cool looking truck, had no idea what it was or knew anything about it, so I went and looked at it, and gave the guy the first $400 down. Went on the internet and started doing research, and here I am, I go pick it up this week when I get the rest of the money. So now I will have a 70 C20 flatbed, 4 speed, 350, springs in rear, that's in decent shape for a MN truck, somebody tried to repaint it and do a little restoration, there is some bondo and the paint up close has lots of orange peel effect. Engine smokes a bit, but these 350s are easy to rebuild. Frame is great, no rust, the wood is in great shape also. I dont know a whole lot about these trucks, but just being on here the last four days or so have helped me learn a ton, I'm still not sure if its a LWB, or a SWB?? I think its a LWB? Plans are to rebuild the 350, new clutch set up, get it running good, lower it a bit 2/4, suspension stuff, ditch the stacks, maybe refinish the wood and look for a bed for it. I will be keeping it a 3/4 ton. ![]() Thanks, Josh Last edited by ranger2339; 05-10-2010 at 09:11 AM. |

Re: New dude from the no Coast!
Hi and Welcome!
That should be a long bed due to it being a 3/4 ton. Definitely a different truck with that type of flatbed that has cutouts for the tires and those kind of smokestacks. I don't think that it looks too bad! Hurry up and fix the ebrake and get rid of the tire bricks! ![]() |

The brick are custom, might paint them black and silver to match, maybe some flames and jegs stickers.
