What's your preference........High Back or Low Back buckets

I am trying to get a consensus from you guys that are running buckets in your sqaures. Do you like the high backs or the low back better? I have sets of both but, I am going for the 77'-80' Saddle interior in the " Hornet ". My high backs are the right color but, could use new covers on the drivers seat.

I like the looks of low backs, but from what I have heard, high back are more comfortable.

For looks, I prefer the lowbacks. I have heard they are very comfortable too, but can't say from experience.

Plus if you've ever been rear ended in one of these trucks with a bench-seat, you know how much it sucks when your head slams into the back window frame. the high-backs stop this.

I have had both in Blazers (same seat), and I prefer the low backs.

I'm a low back guy, don't like looking at the seat through the back window.

I like the look of the low backs because they are not seen though the rear window.

Low backs as I do not care for the back of the seat being visible from the rear window

Re: What's your preference........High Back or Low Back buckets

IMO, I really hate seeing the High-back out the rear window of guys trucks, they just don't look right to me.

Go with the Low's

These do look comfy tho.. If you don't mind the look out the rear....

Re: What's your preference........High Back or Low Back buckets

I had high backs in my truck for years. Really loved them! Switched to the factory bench for a while now..... I'll be going back to another set of HIGH backs!

Re: What's your preference........High Back or Low Back buckets

I prefer high back buckets I do know the 88-94 c/k high backs are way more comfortable than the low back, my dads 91 silverado x-cab came with low back buckets, I thought it was the stupidest thing, but then I found some high backs out of 93 at the junk yard and fell in love, so I got them and through the low backs in the trash and never looked back they also reclined

I've had both. Prefer the high backs for comfort and safety. My rear window is tinted so dark, it appears to be a coal mine at midnight, so seeing the high backs are a non-issue.

Now I don't know what to do......... I like the look of both so which ever way I go, the next truck will have some buckets in it (might be a Blazer though)

I think the lowbacks look best, although my quad cab and my regular cab S10 both have high back's . I'll change the S10 seats to low on of these days.

I've done both, currently have high backs. It does kind of bug me to see the head rests through the rear window, but when I sit down I get over it.

Re: What's your preference........High Back or Low Back buckets

I think you'll like the high back style bucket seat. I just went from having a stock bench to stock buckets in my '85 Suburban, huge difference. I love the high backs, way way comfortable. I never thought these old rigs could be so nice, but i've only ever had bench seats before.
