I have a 1982 Silverado that has a great drivetrain and was wondering if the drivetrain from my truck will be a direct bolt in for my 81 K5 Blazer??
The 82 has a SM465 and 205 with Dana 44 front and 12 Bolt Posi rear. Someone put a different set of axles under the 82 before I bought it. The Blazer has the factory SM465 with the 203 ![]() It also has the 12 bolt rear and 10 bolt front. The axles are 3:73s and I am sure the 82 Silverado has a better road gear set of axles than the Blazer. Anybody use axles from a truck for a Blazer?? Thanks guys again for your expertise. ![]() |

Re: More 81 Blazer questions??
The truck axles will be fine. I put a set of axles from a 1 ton under my '75, and they bolted right in.
