What is this for?
Doing metal repair work on my cab and the high hump cover has 2 holes in it. I'm going to just run a SM420 tranny 2wd. What was the oval hole originally for? The jump cover was from a 64 C20. My initial thought was transfer case but that would be below the shifter right? Any insight would be appreciated.

That oval hole is for a transmission mounted parking brake.

I had my granddads 63 3/4 ton for a while. He bought it brand new. it had the trans brake in it. 292 4spd. Wish I still had it!
