Does this make sense

I have 2 2000 3/4 crew cab short box trucks(88-98 style). What I don't understand is that one has a 454 with a full floating 14 bolt rear but it has the stamped steel front lower control arms. The other has a 350 with a semi floating 14 bolt and it has the forged lower control arms. I don't understand why the the one has a heavy duty rear with the light duty front and the other has the light duty rear and the heavy duty front.

Re: Does this make sense

Try the www.compnine.com website and plug in the VIN's and see how many more may have been built. Remember, the data you get from them is for other vehicles constructed exactly as yours, down to the paint and interior color.
