tail light wiring issue on my 66.

ok i have a problem, my tail lights don't work and neither do my blinkers. i checked the blinker switch assembly and all looks good, wiring under dash is in tack but one plug is hanging free, it is dark green and light green wire. i can't seem to find where it might plug in. is this my problem? the wire looks to be the same color as the tail light wire. i'm dumb with electrical so any help would be great, thanks!
ps where is the blinker box thing that makes the blinker flash? i sure as heck can't find mine...

Re: tail light wiring issue on my 66.

if it's what I'm thinking of - it's a firewall connector that does power the taillights - I accidentally unhooked mine once working under the dash (hung my work light on it inadvertently and didn't realize I had unplugged it until I'd practiacally torn the truck apart trying to find out why my taillights weren't workin...). Look to plug it in just up and right from the gas pedal - the socket sits off by itself and is kinda hard to see - may even be hidden by some insulation.
Hope that's helps.

If the connector with green wires has only two wires, it is likely for your reverse lights. It plugs into the neutral safety switch if you have an automatic. Your turn signal flasher should be on the fuse block, or at least the socket for it. Tail lights are a separate issue from turn signals, so you might have more than one problem.
