Call your local Autozone, and if you have no mechanical skills have a mechanic install it.

Re: Help need to know asap
dont get me wrong, but if you can't look under the hood and see that changing the PS pump is a PITA, then maybe you shouldn't attempt it. I'm not being rude, just sayin'. Hope it didn't sound wrong.....

Re: Help need to know asap
you need a few wrenches an adjustable wrench
a powersteering pump pulley remover (40 bucks form autozone) alot of shop towels. the correct size belt. and PATIENCE. that's what it takes... it'll be a mess i recommend that you get it power washed reallly well before you begin the project. and dont be ashamed! ask an old timer to help you.. if you want PITA do hydroboost... or anything after 2008ish.. good luck even finding those hahaha

Re: Help need to know asap
steering column, might be a pain, PS pump, nope. I've took off and put on I don't know how many, swapping motors and such. I've changed them out for new ones too, getting the pulley off aint bad, you do need the tool though to remove and reinstall but I bet you can rent it from them. You can suck the fluid out of it first to make it cleaner or easier if you have a hand vac. pump or something, if not just take a line loose and let it run everywhere.

Re: Help need to know asap
Power steering pump should be around $40 new with a $10 core charge at most places, steering columns are not an everyday item and will have to be found at a junkyard. like everyone else siad, if you have some mechanical skills and patience both these jobs can be done with relative ease. the power steering pulley will require a special remover i believe but you will need a good set of wrenches as well. when i replaced my steering column it was a PITA, you will have to disconnect it from the steering shaft that connects to the gearbox, theres about 5 bolts in the firewall from the inside of the truck if i remember right, maybe a couple more. then its basically disconnecting wires and maybe removing a piece of trim and its out. make sure the wiring assemblies on the column are the same or you will have to customize it a bit.

Re: Help need to know asap
It'd be a good opportunity to put new steering hoses in, too.
