3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

Does this look normal...or did I somehow get the wrong bracket or something?
New CPP power booster/MC/prop valve combo...mounts up with 4* down angle (title is wrong)....which 1* is coming from the truck...other 3* from the bracket. I'm used to seeing these setups lower in the back... then in the front.

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

Does the booster line up with the pushrod hole in the firewall? If not, could you have the bracket inverted?

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

this came as a complete assembly from CPP just as shown. The bracket has 5 holes....the 4 main plus it uses 1 of the steering column bolts....no way it could be upside down.

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

Did you ask CCP about it? It does look a little off, it still looks great- but off a little. I got my bracket from a Fiero, its shorter than the stock ones but its level.... Things that make you go "HUM"

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

if you look at the bracket where it meets the booster....the top is out further then the bottom. Most brackets I've seen where the other way around...tho this one cannot be inverted.

Sent Jeff a PM with the pic...we'll see what he comes back with.

Yes that is normal. Mine is the same, stock. It has to do with the linkage behind it.

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

I agree. That is a stock '67-'72 booster assembly. They obviously work fine, but I just don't like the look, or the distance out from the firewall. That is why I make the booster brackets that I sell.

Re: 3* down angle on Power booster/Master cylinder?

you have a different bracket? I understand the reason for the booster position is to clear the hood? Do you have any pics of this bracket? ....or even installed?

Thanks

edit---found in your sig....but understand I'd have to also buy a new booster? and m/c or no?
