Lost Pops today

For about 24 years I've worked with (Pop's aka Jim) he was with the dealer I work for. He started in the fifties.
Jim passed away this morning, had just retired. (early November)
He saw the end of Studebaker, the beginning of Toyota. Saw (but probably did not care) Daihatsu come and go.

He was the answer man for a lot of us less talented home repair guys.
Jim was the guy who grew a beard when word came out that employee's were to be clean shaven.
Jim would not go to the doctor when he was feeling bad recently because he was the care taker for Jean his wife who is fighting
cancer. It seems that Jim also had cancer and it took him before anything could be done about it.
I really liked Pop's
He will be missed.

Re: Lost Pops today

Thanks for all the kind words and support.
Found out this morning that Pops did not want a service of any kind.
Thats o.k. because its his wish although it would be nice to have a gathering for all his friends and family.
Knowing Jim I can see him not wanting a service. Heck his last day I had to stop him from just walking out w/o saying goodbye. Sure glad I did.We talked about his health, retirement plans, I kidded him like I often did about finding a Studebaker to restore.

I understand Jean is doing well health wise.
