Do I need a seal Here?
I am putting the inner finders back on my 65 C10 and was wondering do I need a seal or weather stripping of any kind at the front where it attaches to the rad support.

No.. But if you wanted to it wouldn't hurt.

There wasn't a seal there originally.

Re: Do I need a seal Here?
I pulled mine apart last weekend for what appeared to be the first time it had ever been apart. There was a thin layer of sealant of some sort between the two panels. Makes sense - lots of road moisture and debris being flung up in that area.
I'm going to seal them (both inner and outer fender joints) and then undercoat after installation. |
