I've always thought that's the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. She had an amazing voice.

That was great.

She was a very talented person. We all have skeletons in the closet, rich people can afford bigger skeletons, and usually the media figures out a way to find those skeletons. Fortunately for me I am poor and boring so the media has no interest in my skeletons.

I didnt see this thread about her until today and noticed we both thought the same as others that her singing of the National Anthem was awsome..I posted my thoughts from the Tennesee posting not knowing you had said before me about the same thing. It makes me believe that there are many many who think the same ..so sad to lose a great voice as she had.

My amatear baseball club used that before each home game, and it sent a chill down my spine every time. Still does.

Jimi Hendrix' version of the Star Spangled Banner still sends a chill down my spine every time I hear it.

Re: Watch this before commenting on Whitney Houston

Maybe you hit on something. Hearing a great performance like hers kinda reminds you how awesome this country is.

Some of the versions I've heard really make me want to scream, but I'll also agree with a previous poster and say that I love Jimi's guitar version as well.
Greatness reminds you of greatness !
