Re: how do you guys figure for shipping?

Here is a link to the box sizes and prices for prioity mail flat rate. http://postcalc.usps.gov/
The rotors will not ship for the same price as a carb, because the carn will fit in a large flat rate box but the rotors will not.
In order to figure out shipping accurately you will need the dementions of the box and the weight. You will also need the address for the destination and wether it is a business or residence. UPS, FedEx, and USPS have online calculators as long as you have that information. WES

Small stuff I take to the post office. I created an account with fedex (free) for the bigger heavier things. You enter all the shipping info and it will give you price and lets you print your own shipping labels.

Re: how do you guys figure for shipping?

Also, if you are shipping continental US only, you can save a bundle with the new USPS Regional rate
priority boxes. I am finding I can often ship with these as cheap as parcel post (which is sloooww!).
They are not flat rate, though.
There are a few hitches...you have to order the special boxes from USPS (they mail them to you for free),
you cannot get the boxes at the post office and you can not buy the postage in person...on line only.
I have the boxes and buy my postage through the USPS site, PayPal or eBay. Postage is
always cheaper on line and delivery confirmation is free for priority when purchased on line.

Further tips: Over-do your packing...and save packing peanuts and bubble wrap when you get it.
Tape all seams on your box and double box if needed.
ALWAYS get at least delivery confirmation for your shipment.

If you need help, PM me.

Have fun! Shipping can be a science in itself.
