Does anyone know where I can find factory style cab marker light for my 78 chevy?
The Chevy garage can't get them as GM has discontinued them. I've looked online and have even checked LMC's online catalogue with no luck. I'm wanting to add them on my K20 so I need a complete set. I want to use the correct lights for the body style or else leave them off altogether. Thanks.

If you're talking about roof lights. I just got a set for my truck from Wheelings Truck Center. They had the best deal. Just over 10.00 a piece. They come with everything, gasket, lens, screws, light bulb, and short pigtails for wires. Hell of deal.

Re: Does anyone know where I can find factory style cab marker light for my 78 chevy?
JC Whitney has aftermarket copies that look right, cheaper than $10 apiece. I just bought a set of the same kind they sell (Pace? Pacer?) but for my 94 (88-98 style). I got them at VIP auto parts for $26. Haven't put them on yet but I opened them up and they look good. I'm certain no one would ever be able to tell they aren't factory, as long as they're put on straight. Which is why I havent put them on yet, I took measurements from my 97 before I sold it, but I lost them. I don't want to just guess, in case I ever want to add a visor later.
Anyway, check JC Whitney or even ebay. I'd go with the truck place if I only had to replace one.

ok, call me a liar. I just went looking for a link at JCW and they dont show anything for 73-87. All newer stuff. I did find one set on ebay, OEM for $45. Pacer or Blazer light companies used to sell them, dont know if maybe you can find them somewhere else online. Or check CL for somebody parting out a truck.

I need to get two of the factory cab lights as well, trampoline blew over on the truck. Got to a junkyard and get them off a big truck, last I thought they were the same. If not, should be 3/4 or 1 tons with some...

I did see the ones on eBay after I posted this, and they do look really good. There isn't a whole lot to choose from in the junk yards around home though. I did see the ones from Wheeling Truck Center which is on their website www.class8truckparts.com . They're new and cheap! Yes the medium duty's are the same. Thanks a bunch for all the help.

Forgot tomention that GM didn't make these. Signal Stat/Trucklite made these. I believe the part number is 1313A if I remeber right. That's why tey are still available as they still use them for big trucks. So in reality you are getting original replacement. Just installed mine. New lens look great with new paint.

I believe those are the ones I'll be getting. My local GMC dealership called me a few minutes ago, and he tracked some actual GM ones down at a warehouse today. They cost $179.99 for five of them individually packaged. Ouch! The ones you told me about look identical and are less than 1/3 the price.

I know when I wanted some new oem lenses the best deal came from ebay. Here is a whole set of oem lights and lenses to consider. Beats $179.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GMC-C...Q5fAccessories Just an option to consider. May be more listed, but this is the first set I came across when I did a quick search. Mark ![]()
