patch panels for 69 panel/ regualr pickup or not

I have a 1969 panel I inherited. While it looks good im pics thats from distance. I have pics of it when my granfather bought it back from the guy he sold it to. Pa had a jack leg do some bodywork if that what you want to call it. In pics I can see where both lower rockers are about gone in front and behind rear wheels. If this guy fixed them like he did floor baord area.I found a old gas sign number underneath that he pop rivioted and bondo over.Ifc rest of it looks like this I have job ahead.
I need to know if standard long bed panels will work here and if maybe around rear tailight area. I know the floor boards are the same as are doors front fenders and hood. It rear lower rocker that are my biggest concern. My brother does lots of custom body work and I can inlist his help if needed, but would rather do as much as possible myself. We have dicussed rolling a pice to match and using it which we have done on cpl of his custom pieces, plus Ive made cpl fuel tanks for harleys that where split widened and extended. So we can do it this way if thats better. If you've done it this way let me know your thoughts.
