72 steering column installation problem?
Iam restoringa 72 c-20 pickup and the steering column is got me puzzled. Every time I tighten up the three screws that hold down turn signal the turn signal support tightens up cockeyed. The cone and the signal support dont lay flat . What to do?

That is a tough one without seeing it in person. Is it a tilt? How far apart did you have it? If the cast aluminum piece is all the way down and square it should all bolt together. I would say something is not seated down correctly. Check the hazard flasher part of the switch and see if it is not in place. LockDoc

There are grooves in the bottom of the die cast part that must fit in the edge of the jacket. You may not have them lined up.
