autozone paint? anyone use it yet
Aside from the "ya get what ya pay for" comments...lol. just wondering if any has used it my local zone started caring it in quarts. I was think of picking some up and shooting a s10 I have for practice before I shoot my 71. Never painting before with a big boy gun ( lots and lots of shake and spray) I figured it would at least get me the feel for it. Any input?

Re: autozone paint? anyone use it yet
ok well ive never shot it myself but ive watched my dad shoot it.
some advice buy all your paint at once the first time my dad shot his 65 step side in the deep blue he bought paint here and there. and the color was a bit different he coantacted them and they sent him 4 qts. do not use the clear at all we were told that buy an automotive paint and obdy shop. summit has some decent clear check with an auto shop. here is some pics of my dads 65 ![]() ![]() ![]() the white lettering is there performance white

Re: autozone paint? anyone use it yet
As far as different cans causing different colors I have had the paint come out of the SAME can be two different colors. I have a 68 LeMans convert that I put a 6.0 in and we painted the bacxk half then a little later painted the front . It is a different color! the tempa humidity change must have caused it. Now I cannot speak for the auto zone paint ,but if you are looking and still shopping look at the Omni brand . It is a lower priced paint made by PPG sold thru their outlets. I get mine from O'reilly auto parts and it will save you about 2/3 the money
