I took it for a good ride today and was able to get on it a little. This thing will break traction at 40mph. What a ride!

That looks good. I just bought an 03 Ram, and was going to go with a drop in liner, but I might have to check out the rhino liner place here in town. My only worry is that the bed can still get dented with a spray in, and I'm rough on my things

I have the same box and was wondering how you wired up the tailights? Did you splice the two harnesses together? And are you using the stock gas filler on the box with the blazer tank?

griesel72 - The idle is fairly smooth. It idles at about 600 in drive so it doesn't push too much.
72gmcshorty - I used a Painless harness and wired it to the bed. Someone had added a trailer to the truck that had this bed in the past and really messed it up, so i ran new wiring from the lights to the new Painless kit. I f you look at the second pic you can see the fuel filler on the inside wall of the drivers side of the bed.

To be honest, with a spray-in, if you dent it with one of those, you'd probably have dented it with a drop-in liner.
Get a spray-in. If you're worried about denting/scratching your bed...go ask someone who has a drop-in liner in their truck that's been in there a few years to pull it up for you. It's not a pretty sight. I had mine done at Inyati in Chandler...I absolutely love it.

Good point. When I removed the drop-in from my 98, that was in there since new, I found the liner rubbed the paint to bare metal, and there was surface rust. I think because of this thread, I will go with a spray-in. Thanks everyone for the great source of info ![]() By the way, let me say again, that truck looks sweet. |
