arb vs. ox vs. eaton e locker for dana 60
i will be useing this for on road mainly and off road lightly,i just need the availabillity of it. i have my concerns with all three lockers and they are the standerd issues.
eaton: have read a bunch of threads on these, they seem reasonable for what i would be using it for ox: i hear the cabels never quite work right. arb: my only problem is price ![]() |

Price will always be the problem. Swallow your pride and belly up. You get what you pay for

Define 'offroad lightly'.

it is a 72 chevy short bed 4x4 on 6 inch lift doing a dana 60 swap in the rear and 4.11s will be doing mild trails but mainly want selectability for the road use because it is a DD.

I have used ARB air lockers, Detroit lockers, truetracs and factory posi units in over 20 different trucks and by far the Arb is the best.. but they are not cheap..just my 2 cents

Re: arb vs. ox vs. eaton e locker for dana 60
You'll like the ARB. To me,it's overkill for light off road "in the rear". A limited slip is a major improvement over an open rear. A locker comes into play on more serious conditions and for me I'm happy with a full-time locker. I think of the selectable lockers as most useful in the front where a full-time locker is pretty much a no-go...unless full-time in slippery stuff when in 4wd and mostly going straight (like mud bogging).
Of the three selectable lockers I'd pass on the Ox and prefer either the ARB or E-Locker. To me,the E-Locker is a simpler unit and I like that.
